Additionally, both families have been involved in philanthropic endeavors that have had a positive impact on their respective communities. Learn about the founders and how their childhoods influenced them, how they got started in the business, what is happening today, and what the future brings for the industry.

St. Louis is known for its French, Italian, Irish, and German influence by early settlers taking root in the city. Founded by German immigrants, Anheuser Busch put St. Louis on the map as a brewers' city, and it was soon that the town was teeming with competing breweries and Oktober Fest celebrations. While this course focuses on German heritage, you don't have to have German genes to enjoy. We'll discuss what you need to know before beginning research into your genealogy and how to pose and prioritize questions, then answer those questions with U.S. records to reach a goal.

Anti-colonialism seeks to dismantle colonial systems of control, exploitation, and cultural imposition and to restore self-determination and independence to colonized nations and peoples. The art of filmmaking can be a powerful medium through which anti-colonialism is imagined, explored, and communicated. The art of filmmaking can play a crucial role in conceiving and communicating anti-colonialism by shedding light on historical injustices, amplifying the voices of the colonized, celebrating cultural diversity, exploring intersectionality, fostering global solidarity, and challenging established narratives. Through storytelling and visual representation, filmmakers can contribute to the broader discourse on anti-colonialism and inspire positive change.
