Description
St. Louis is known for its French, Italian, Irish, and German influence by early settlers taking root in the city. Founded by German immigrants, Anheuser Busch put St. Louis on the map as a brewers’ city, and it was soon that the town was teeming with competing breweries and Oktober Fest celebrations. This class focuses on using genealogy to trace the roots of the many German families that helped make St. Louis what it is today. While this course focuses on German heritage, you don’t have to have German genes to enjoy. We’ll discuss what you need to know before beginning research into your genealogy and how to pose and prioritize questions, then answer those questions with U.S. records to reach a goal.
